Robot Vaccum System Improvement

Tasked with improving a robot pick and place vacuum system that was dropping ice cream bars onto the floor. The waste was recorded at 15%. After defining the issue and studying the root cause it was established that the motor driven vacuum system was not the correct equipment for the application. We implemented a solution using a venturi system and adaptive suction cups, with digital gauges installed on the robot head to give visuals of real time vacuum values. The result was an 85% improvement on bars dropping and going to waste.
